New Priest-in-Charge

About our new Priest-in-Charge

We are delighted to announce that the Revd. Sandi Wickens has been appointed priest-in-charge of Westfield, Guestling and Fairlight. This follows interviews conducted by Bishop Will and involving representatives from all of the parishes.
Sandi is currently curate in the parish of Rotherfield and Mark Cross in East Sussex.
She and her husband Dave will be living in the Rectory in Fairlight, but she will work from early on to establish a base in Westfield and Guestling so that she can be present in all three parishes to the fullest extent possible. We very much look forward to welcoming them.
Sandi will be licensed to our benefice on Tuesday 20th September at 7.30 p.m. in Westfield Church.

Sandi writes...
Hello from Sandi and Dave,

We are delighted to be moving to be part of God’s family with you all.

Sandi is just coming to the end of her three-year curacy at St Denys’, Rotherfield with St Mark’s, Mark Cross and we are looking forward to moving to another beautiful part of Sussex.

Originally we are from Burgess Hill where our adult son and many of our family live.
Sandi loves all things creative including sewing, crafting, and gardening.

Dave is a retired Civil Engineer and enjoys golf and motor bikes. During curacy he’s been supporting Rotherfield Football Club and has seen them play Westfield several times. A change of allegiance is on the cards.

We are both looking forward to living nearer the sea and exploring the local area in search of great tea shops and pubs.
