On Armistice Day Rev Joy laid our wreath at Westfield War Memorial and Bryn and Marian laid a wreath on Private Arthur Paine's Commonwealth War Grave,
Joy writes...'. We had the workman who were trimming the hedges in the recreation ground come over, a cheese delivery van parked up and the driver came over, Baby Darcy who I baptized at Westfield earlier this year and her parents, Jim and Anne, Bryn and Marian, Kathy, Sally, a couple of young men in casual combats and 2 or three others. We were all very well spaced out and as we stood in silence the oak leaves drifted down like poppy petals. Even some of the traffic slowed right down. It was very moving.'
